Making Memories In Orlando Florida

Want to make great memories in Orlando, Florida? Every year, thousands of family’s head to Walt Disney World to enjoy theme parks and fun in the sun. There are some travelers who have noted what makes family trips even better to this part of Florida. If you have never been to this area, there are a lot of fun things to do to relax and enjoy your stay, even when you’re spending every day at one of the parks.

Pick the Right Hotel in Orlando

If you are looking for hotels near Universal Studios or Disney, there are plenty of hotels to choose from. While there are many hotels that offer deals with tickets to the various parks in Orlando, some of the best hotels are those that have great amenities, lots of security, and a perfect location near all of the theme park action. Hotels like the Hyatt House Orlando/Universal or Orlando World Center Marriott offer free WiFi, great pools, room service, and privacy while being located extremely close to theme parks. The Hyatt House is located just one mile from Universal Orlando Resort and Universal CityWalk and is a Universal Hotel Partner which offers discounts on food and merchandise at select theme park locations.

Of course, if you want to visit Disney, you probably want to stay on property or nearby. There are affordable options, such as Disney Coronado Springs Resorts, which offer close accommodations right next to the parks.

Buy Tickets in Advance to Get Deals

Take your time and search for the best deals for buying tickets to the parks in advance. Online sites like Groupon often offer vacation deals that include tickets and tours around the theme parks. You can get discounted passes in advance to all of the popular parks such as Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios just by looking online in advance.

Choose the Express Pass or FastPass Options

If you can manage it, you should never wait in line. Unfortunately, during peak times of travel, theme parks have long lines. While you can try to get to the rides early or head to the parks on off-weeks, such as in April or early May, you’ll still run into some long wait times. However, when you do purchase passes in advance, you’ll often get a few free FastPass tickets to start out with.

Pack the Right Clothes

You know Florida used to be a swamp, right? While there are always balmy blue sky days, there are also cloudy, rainy days. Shorts, light cotton clothing, linen, and rain jackets are great staples to bring with you to central Florida. You never want to get stuck in the heat. However, it’s also about the right footwear. Sandals are a great option when not walking around the park. Definitely pack a good pair of walking sneakers to keep your feet comfortable as you trek through the parks.

Arrive Early

If you arrive at the parks early, you won’t have to deal with the crowds. Be the first in line to enter the park and head to your favorite ride before anyone else. While it is important to get enough sleep to enjoy every bit of your vacation, if you are able to get out of bed and arrive early, you’ll be happy to find that most of the theme parks are quiet in the mornings, especially on weekdays. You can experience the parks in peace, and then you can head back to the hotel to rest and enjoy the night.

Dine at Your Favorite Places

Before you head to Orlando, you should be sure to look at all of the cuisine options. You don’t want to stay at the theme parks and eat because it can get a little expensive. Instead, you should venture out and check out some of the local seafood options.
